Taylor Swift Wears Friendship Bracelet With Travis Kelce’s Jersey Number At Chiefs-Chargers Game

Taylor Swift might be the Kansas City Chiefs’ good luck charm.

The 33-year-old pop singer was back at Arrowhead Stadium Oct. 22 to cheer on rumored beau Travis Kelce's team for the fourth time.

The tight end and his Chiefs took on the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday. Kickoff occurred shortly before 4:30 p.M. ET.

The Chiefs won 31-17. (For those keeping track, the Chiefs are now 4-0 with Swift in attendance.)

At the game, Swift wore a red Kansas City sweatshirt. But eagle-eyed Swifties noticed a sweet detail that revealed how the singer was showing support specifically for Travis Kelce. Zooming in on her arm candy revealed that Swift wore a gold friendship bracelet with charms of a heart and the number 87, his jersey number.

The accessory is fitting since rumors of their relationship started with a bracelet.

Travis Kelce revealed that he tried to make a move on the singer and give her a friendship bracelet when she performed in Kansas City on "The Eras Tour."

"I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it,” Travis Kelce said on the July 26 episode of his "New Heights" podcast.

When asked if the bracelet had his jersey number or telephone number on it, Travis Kelce joked, “You know which one.”

Swift was spotted in the player's box Oct. 22 standing and clapping next to Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, as she holds a baby. The Mahomes share two children: 2-year-old daughter Sterling and 11-month-old son Bronze.

Brittany Mahomes and Swift had dinner together in New York earlier this month ahead of the Chiefs-Jets game at MetLife Stadium. They've also been spotted hugging and laughing together at other recent Chiefs games.

Patrick Mahomes' brother, Jackson Mahomes, also appeared to be cheering in the box and shared a photo of himself at the game to Instagram Oct. 22. Jackson Mahomes was arrested on a warrant for aggravated sexual battery in May. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and his preliminary hearing was set for Oct. 24 after it was postponed in August, according to the Associated Press.

Travis Kelce had a huge game on Sunday, making 12 catches for 179 yards — both single-game highs for the star tight end this season.

His touchdown catch late in the second quarter gave Kansas City a 24-17 lead and the Chiefs never looked back.

Sunday marked National Tight Ends Day, an unofficial NFL holiday celebrating the versatile position. Travis Kelce appeared in a video shared by the league on X Oct. 22, formerly known as Twitter, featuring a rap explaining what their job on the gridiron entails. Tight end is considered a "combo position," as Travis Kelce has previously explained. Tight ends block, functioning like linemen, and catch the football, like receivers.

Before arriving at Arrowhead, Swift posed for a picture with another NFL player — former Cleveland Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar.

In the pic, Kosar stands next to Swift while the "Anti-Hero" singer rests her arm on his shoulder, flashing the camera a smirk and a thumbs-up. Both wore red to root for the Chiefs.

Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Mom Donna Kelce previously revealed the Chiefs player was “crushed” when he wasn’t drafted by the Browns.

"Watching the Browns game with @taylorswift13 pre KC game," Kosar said in a post on X Oct. 22. "Tough to see Deshaun Hurt!!!"

Swift was last seen at Arrowhead Stadium Oct. 12 for Travis Kelce's "Thursday Night Football" game against the Denver Broncos.

Later that weekend, Swift and the tight end spent time together in New York. The pair were spotted walking hand-in-hand in Manhattan before making cameos on the Season 49 premiere of "Saturday Night Live." They also went out to dinner Oct. 15 after Travis Kelce stopped by MetLife Stadium to cheer on the Philadelphia Eagles and brother Jason Kelce.

Swift resumes the international dates of the "Eras Tour" Nov. 9 in Argentina. After, the singer will spend three weekends performing in South America.

She then has four shows scheduled in Tokyo from Feb. 7 through Feb. 10, the day before the 2024 Super Bowl.

‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’ Hits Theaters: Here’s What Audiences Are Saying About The Film

Warning: This post contains light spoilers for “Killers of the Flower Moon.”

Over the weekend, movie lovers and history buffs across the country traveled to theaters to watch Martin Scorsese’s epic crime drama “Killers of the Flower Moon,” a film that follows the true story of a series of murders in the Osage Nation.

The movie, which is an adaptation of journalist David Grann’s book of the same name, landed at No. 2 (behind Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" concert film) at the North American box office, bringing in $23 million, Variety reported Oct. 22. “Killers of the Flower Moon” also collected $21 million overseas, for a global total of $44 million.

In the crime drama, an Osage woman named Mollie Burkhart, portrayed by Lily Gladstone, discovers her close relatives are being killed for the rights to the oil found on their reservation in the 1920s.

After watching moving performances from Gladstone and co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and Jesse Plemons, fans and members of the Osage Nation shared their strong reactions to Scorsese’s adaptation — without spoiling the ending.

“The conclusion of Killers of the Flower Moon is one of the most astounding sequences in Scorsese’s entire career,” one person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Although Scorsese has already cemented his legacy as one of the most esteemed directors in Hollywood, fans were particularly impressed by his handling of the Osage Nation’s story.

“Killers of the flower moon is a scorsese movie stripped to the bone. Familiar in form, but actually lifts the veil off what usually makes his previous entries so enticing in nature. This forces you to reckon with the american dream, laid bare with all its corrupt ingloriousness,” one social media user said in their review.

Many highlighted Gladstone’s performance and her ability to capture Mollie’s emotions.

“Can’t stop thinking about how quietly devastating and astounding lily gladstone’s performance in killers of the flower moon feels,” another tweeted. “What she’s able to convey through facial expressions (sadness, longing, and anger) often times all at once simply feels monumental at times.”

Others complimented the supporting cast, like Cara Jade Myers, who portrayed Mollie’s sister Anna.

“More people should be discussing Cara Jade Myers,” one X user said, applauding her “firecracker” performance.

“She’s intense yet somehow grounded and injects a ball of energy into all of her scenes. Exhilarating and heartbreaking,” they added.

Some discussed the movie’s runtime, which clocks in at nearly three and a half hours.

“Killers of the Flower Moon definitely feels 3hrs long, but thats one of its greatest strengths. You want to be out of the crime and the awful aura, and when you finally do it’s barely a release. So good,” one person praised.

Another joked, “Going to see “Killers of The Flower Moon” — anyone wanna sublet my apt while I’m gone?”

One fan pointed out that the 206-minute movie doesn’t rely on twists to hold viewers’ attention.

“Scorsese lays everything out in front of you to the point where, by the 1.5 hour mark, nothing surprises you anymore,” one person noted. “The evil is just expected.”

But some called out the lack of suspense, with one person criticizing it as “derivative, mundane” storytelling.

Leading up to the release of “Killers of the Flower Moon” on Oct. 20, Osage Nation members spoke out about the film’s depiction of their community and the horrific moment in American history.

Gianna Sieke, who was an Osage Nation princess from 2021 to 2023 and was on set during filming, told TODAY.Com at the premiere in Los Angeles that the movie “does tell our dark history but it’s also including things that no one really knows, and it hasn’t been expressed to Osage people and anyone because it’s a dark history.”

She added, “People don’t really talk about it that much. And because of that, (the movie) has made a really big impact. Families are learning to cope and understand.”

Christopher Cote worked on the movie as an Osage language consultant and also shared his thoughts on the final cut when speaking with The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet.

“As an Osage, I really wanted this to be from the perspective of Mollie and what her family experienced, but I think it would take an Osage to do that,” he said. “Martin Scorsese, not being Osage, I think he did a great job representing our people.”

However, he noted that the story is mostly told from the perspective of DiCaprio’s character Ernest Burkhart, giving the historical figure a conscience and suggesting he loved Mollie.

“But when somebody conspires to murder your entire family, that’s not love. That’s not love, that’s just beyond abuse,” Cote said.

He concluded, “For those that have been disenfranchised, they can relate, but for other countries that have their acts and their history of oppression, this is an opportunity for them to ask themselves this question of morality, and that’s how I feel about this film.”

As for Scorsese, he is content now that the movie is finally being shown on the big screen.

He shared a photo of him directing Gladstone and DiCaprio on Instagram Oct. 21 and said, “I put everything I had into Killers of the Flower Moon, and I was blessed to work with so many remarkable people at every stage. It took a long time to bring it to the screen.”

At the end of his caption, the filmmaker wrote, “Now I just want people to see it, to absorb it, to be with it.”

She Dreamt Something Terrible Would Happen To Her Family, Then Woke To The Blast That Killed Them

JERUSALEM — Falling to her knees in anguish, Muna Habil was inconsolable as her neighbors tried to comfort her.

“I have no one left — all my family is gone,” Habil cried. “They killed them.”

Her mother, her father, her brother and her sister-in-law were killed by a blast at a building in Al Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza at around 6 a.M local time Saturday (11 p.M. ET Friday). Five children, her nieces and nephews, also died.

As she was sleeping in the building next door, Habil said she had dreamt that something bad was going to happen to them. Her dream became a living nightmare.

She said she woke to find that multiple buildings including at least one occupied home had been destroyed.

NBC News has asked the Israel Defense Forces whether they targeted the building where her family was staying and if so, why.

As rescue crews, supplemented by men and young boys from the camp, frantically searched through the rubble for survivors, Habil stood nearby as the occasional shout of prayer went up when someone was found alive. The ash-covered residents were then transferred to stretchers and taken for treatment, before the search resumed.

Surrounded by other grieving people, the tears streaming, at one point Habil started slapping her own face repeatedly, until someone pulled her arms to stop her and other women came forward to comfort her.

“Oh God, I’m going to die without them,” she shouted. “They’re dead. They’re dead. I have no one.”

Israel has issued repeated warnings for civilians to evacuate northern Gaza since Hamas militants launched its massive multipronged terrorist attack on Israel on Oct. 7.

As a result, more than 1 million Palestinians, or just under half of Gaza’s population, have made their way south amid airstrikes and heavy bombardment on all parts of the enclave, ahead of a highly anticipated ground assault by Israeli forces.

Tanks and tens of thousands of troops have massed at the border, but the Israel Defense Forces have acknowledged there are still hundreds of thousands of Palestinian civilians in northern Gaza, which would complicate any ground attack.

Some have been unwilling or simply unable to leave the north, and the order has been criticized by aid groups and branded “impossible” by the United Nations.

By early Saturday it was too late for Habil’s family.

After her neighbors helped her fix her hijab, some women walked with Habil to a nearby hospital around 2 miles away, where the bodies of her family members had been taken.

“What can I do, now that they’re gone?” she said.

Lawahez Jabari reported from Jerusalem, and Doha Madani reported from London.
