Indus Valley Civilization (2500 BCE – 1500 BCE): The Indus Valley Civilization was one of the earliest civilizations in the world, located in present-day Pakistan and northwest India. The civilization had well-planned cities, advanced sanitation systems, and a writing system that is still not fully deciphered.
Vedic period (1500 BCE – 500 BCE): The Vedic period is named after the Vedas, a collection of hymns and religious texts composed in this era. The period saw the rise of Hinduism and the caste system.
Maurya Empire (321 BCE – 185 BCE): The Maurya Empire was one of the largest and most powerful empires in ancient India. Its most famous ruler, Emperor Ashoka, is known for his policies of non-violence and religious tolerance.
Gupta Empire (320 CE – 550 CE): The Gupta Empire is considered a golden age of Indian civilization, marked by advancements in art, science, and mathematics.
